With the increase in popularity of mobile phones and tablets, many of you have become more aware of website layout compatibility on multiple platforms. Something to keep in mind as well is the monitor screen size, we have discussed this many times over the last 10 years or so, but screen size and resolution has always been inching larger, and for good reason, with more real estate on the monitor the user can multi task, process content and have an over-all improved experience. This is not for everyone, as some prefer lower resolution where text and images appear larger but more pixelated, I have always argued that these users are in the minority, as you can see in the graph bellow this is clearly the case. In this article Jacob Neelson discusses usability and monitor popularity.
